ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A separable type of slide fastener is disclosed which has a separable end stop assembly mounted on the bottom end of the fastener. The stop assembly has a pair of pin members received in a socket member, the second pin being slightly longer than the first pin. There is provided a clearance between the lower end of the first pin and the inner bottom wall of the socket to compensate for any deviation in the relative positions of the two pin members on the fastener. The second pin engages the socket at a point spaced from the bottom of the socket, along a ledge, by shoulders formed on the second pin. The invention facilitates the manufacture of the end stop assembly. It also improves the accuracy of mutual engagement between the second pin and the socket.
