ABSTRACT OF DISCLOSURE A process for the separation of carbon black from liquids containing it comprising washing water containing said carbon black with an organic liquid which is immiscible with water, whereby the carbon black passes into the organic liquid. The carbon black-organic liquid mixture is then passed through a disk centrifuge, thereby increasing the concentration of carbon black in the mixture.
