The present invention relates to a chromatographic separation process for fractionating solutions containing sugars, sugar alcohols, sugar acids and/or betaine by utilizing fractions comprising parts of the separation profile as a substituent of the eluent in a novel and inventive manner. The starting solutions are typically multicomponent plant- based extracts and hydrolysates, stillages, and fermentation products and derivatives thereof. The process provides improved separation capacity and separation efficiency without affecting the yield or purity of product components, such as sugars, sugar alcohols, sugar acids, and betaine. The process can especially be applied to sequential SMB separation systems.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de séparation chromatographique pour le fractionnement des solutions contenant des sucres, des alcools de sucre, des acides de sucre et/ou de la bétaïne mettant en uvre des parties comportant des fractions du profil de séparation comme substituant dans l'éluant dans une technique nouvelle et innovatrice. Les solutions de départ sont typiquement des extraits végétaux à constituants multiples et des hydrolysats, des produits de distillation, et des produits de fermentation et des dérivés de ceux-ci. Le procédé permet d'obtenir une capacité de séparation une efficacité de séparation améliorées sans affecter le rendement ou la pureté des constituants du produit, tels que des sucres, des alcools de sucre, des acides de sucre, et de la bétaïne.
