PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION: Procédé de séparation des tétrachlorures de zirco- nium et de hafnium à partir de leurs mélanges qui consiste à procéder à une absorption sélective des vapeurs de ZrCl4 et de HfCl4 par un solvant fondu circulant à contre-courant desdites vapeurs dans une colonne à distiller, ledit solvant étant cons- titué par un chloroaluminate et/ou un chloroferrate de potassium. Le procédé permet d'obtenir du HfCl4 à basse teneur en zirco- nium et du ZrCl4 exempt de hafnium, à partir duquel on peut pré- parer du zirconium de pureté nucléaire.
