A separator for a communication ca-ble that comprises a body that includes at least first and second segments adapted to define a plurality of quadrants in the communication cable. The seg-ments are substantially perpendicular to each other and define a junction point of the segments. Each of the segments includes a main portion and a terminal end remote from the junction point of the segments. Each of the terminal ends has a shape such that each of the terminal ends is wider than the main portions of the segments. At least one air pocket is defined between the terminal ends of the segments. The air pocket includes a gap sized such that the air pocket is substantially enclosed.

L'invention concerne un séparateur pour un câble de télécommunications comprenant un corps comportant au moins des premier et deuxième segments conçus pour établir une pluralité de quadrants dans le câble de télécommunications.
