Description

Methods and apparatus for useful for protecting stacked sheets are provided. A separator (306) in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the present invention comprises a film (320) carrying a plurality of particles (322). Each particle preferably has a covered area (324) adhered to the film and an exposed area (326) that is larger than the covered area. The separator is especially suitable for protecting substrates (302) bearing a coating (304).
