The present invention is in the field of the manufacture of recombinant proteins. More specifically, it relates to the use of a serum-free culture medium comprising an antioxidant for the production of recombinant dimeric gonadotropins. The antioxidant may be selected from the group consisting of L- glutathione, 2-mercaptoethanol, L- methionine and a combination of ascorbic acid and of (+)-alpha-tocopherol.

La présente invention s'inscrit dans le domaine de la fabrication de protéines recombinantes. Plus particulièrement, elle concerne l'utilisation d'un milieu de culture sans sérum comprenant un antioxydant pour la production de gonadotrophines dimériques recombinantes. L'antioxydant peut être choisi dans le groupe constitué par le L-glutathion, le 2-mercaptoéthanol, la L-méthionine et une combinaison d'acide ascorbique et de (+)-alpha-tocophérol.
