ABSTRACT A set of envelopes consisting of a web having a front surface and a back surface, and from which can be cut indivi- dual envelope lengths, these envelope lengths having, on the front surface and on the back surface, of the web, areas of adhesive constituting at least two longitudinal adhesion lines disposed along the edges of the web, and at least one trans- verse adhesion line. All of the transverse adhesion lines are constituted by adhesion spots spaced apart from one another, and all of the areas of adhesive on the front surface are contained in first longitudinal zones of the web, and all of the areas of adhesive on the back surface are contained in second longitudinal zones of the web, the first longitudinal zones being outside the second longitudinal zones and vice versa.
