The panels comprise shear-resistive skins reinforced against bending at least in the longitudinal and transverse directions by means of a system of battens rigidly connected to the skins and running in said directions. At least some of the battens incorporated in the wall panels are arranged to surround, define and supplementarily reinforce portions of these panels to constitute door or window frame supports in the wall panel openings, obtained by removing said portions.
