ABSTRACT An electronic control sewing machine which stores stitch control signals in an electronic memory device, and forms stitch patterns, includes a setting device for stitching conditions which comprises, a tenkey which designates reduction or enlargement separately to a selected pattern in a needle amplitude direction and in a fabric feed direction; a switch designating key which switches designating functions of the reduction or enlargement of the tenkey to a designating function in the needle amplitude direction and a designating function in the fabric feed direction; and a pattern data counting device which reduces or enlarges an amount of needle amplitude or an amount of fabric feed with respect to a pattern selected in accordance with designation by combination of the switch designating key and the tenkey; in this way the amount of needle amplitude and the amount of fabric feed can be designated.
