A beverage preparation device (1) comprises means for filling via an outlet (8) a cup (18) located below the outlet and a user interface (30c, 30d) for allowing a user to select a desired level of fill (25) of beverage (24) in the cup. The interface comprises a means (30c, 30d) for detecting a position of a human finger (5) and/or a hand-held freely movable pointing instrument (5') adjacent to and pointing towards a side of the cup. The filling means are arranged to derive from the detected position of the finger and/or pointing instrument the user-selected level of fill (25) and to fill the cup up to this level.

Linvention concerne un dispositif de préparation de boisson (1) comprenant des moyens destinés à remplir, par un orifice de sortie (8), une tasse (18) placée en dessous dudit orifice, et une interface utilisateur (30c, 30d) permettant à lutilisateur de sélectionner un niveau de remplissage (25) souhaité de boisson (24) dans la tasse. Cette interface comprend un moyen (30c, 30d) destiné à détecter la position dun doigt (5) et/ou un instrument de pointage portatif à mouvement libre (5') adjacent à un côté de la tasse et pointant vers celui-ci. Les moyens de remplissage sont disposés de sorte à déterminer, à partir de la position de doigt détectée et/ou de linstrument de pointage, le niveau de remplissage (25) sélectionné par lutilisateur, et à remplir la tasse jusquà ce niveau.
