S P E C I F I C A T I O N Title of the Invention: A SHAFT FURNACE Abstract of the Disclosure: A shaft furnace provided with a pressure equalizing chamber for supplying raw materials such as ores in the furnace, comprising an inside ore hopper formed by a dividing plate in the upper portion of the furnace and a pipe path extending downward through the dividing plate into the lower portion of the furnace, thus omitting the conventional ore hopper of pressure-proof-structure provided separately outside of the furnace.
