A shale shaker (1200) for separating solids from a solids laden fluid, the shale shaker comprising a base (1202), a basket (1230) movably mounted on the base, the basket having at least one screening surface (1316) therein, the at least one screening surface having a feed end (1326) and a discharge end (1311), at least a portion of the at least one screening surface inclined from a feed end to the discharge end, the shale shaker having an electromagnetic vibratory apparatus (1240) for vibrating the basket and the at least one screening surface.

L'invention concerne un tamis vibrant (1200) pour séparer des solides d'un fluide chargé de solides. Ce tamis vibrant comprend une base (1202), un panier (1230) monté mobile sur la base, le panier présentant au moins une surface de criblage (1316) située à l'intérieur de celui-ci, cette surface de criblage présentant une extrémité d'alimentation (1326) et une extrémité d'évacuation (1311), au moins une partie de la surface de criblage étant inclinée de l'extrémité d'alimentation jusqu'à l'extrémité d'évacuation.
