ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A frog construction for holding the sweep of an undercutter earthworking implement in a relationship so that the pitch of the sweep nose can be adjusted downwardly to increase the penetration angle and to aid in permitting the sweep to travel under the ground even in hard ground without having the trailing ends of the sweep blades protruding above the ground. The sweep comprising blades formed into a "V" shape is mounted onto a frog or support member. The frog also has blades formed into a "V" and which are bent downwardly at the trailing ends at a desired angle to pull the rear end portions of the sweep blades downwardly as well, so that when the pitch of the nose is increased, the rear portions of the sweep blades will not extend upwardly sufficiently to protrude from the ground.
