ABSTRACT A plough shank having a rounded leading edge portion with a leading surface, a trailing portion, a web connecting the trailing and leading portions, attachment means at the top of the shank to enable attachment of the shank to a plough frame so that said leading surface is inclined by 60° to 80° to the horizontal, and means at the bottom of the shank to enable the attaching of a digging point thereto.
