Methods and compositions are described herein for reconstruction of different functional tissues. Dissociated cells, differentiated cells, adult mesenchymal stem cells or embryonic stem cells are seeded on a scaffold. The scaffold will consist of a biocompatible, biodegradable shape memory ("SM") polymers. In addition bioactive substances may be incorporated in the scaffold. Thermoplastic as well as thermoset materials with SM-effect can be used. The shape memory effect will be applied as an interactive link between the cells and the used polymeric scaffold. The degradation kinetics as well as shape memory transition temperature will be tailored by adjusting to monomer ratios of the co-oligomers. The shape memory effect will be used to create a degradation or release of bioactive substances on demand, induce forces on seeded cells or induce proliferation and differentiation of cells.

L'invention concerne des procédés et des compositions destinés à la reconstitution de différents tissus fonctionnels. Des cellules dissociées, des cellules différenciées, des cellules souches mésenchymateuses adultes ou des cellules souches embryonnaires sont ensemencées sur une structure support. Cette dernière est constituée par des polymères biocompatibles, biodégradables, à mémoire de forme (<= SM >=). De plus, des substances bioactives peuvent être incorporées à la structure support. Des matières thermoplastiques, ainsi que des matières thermodurcies à effet SM peuvent être utilisées. L'effet de mémoire de forme est appliqué comme liaison interactive entre les cellules et la structure support polymère utilisée. La cinétique de dégradation ainsi que la température de transition de mémoire de forme peuvent être adaptées par ajustement aux rapports monomères des co-oligomères. L'effet de mémoire de forme est utilisé pour créer une dégradation ou une libération de substances bioactives sur demande, induire des forces sur des cellules ensemencées ou induire une prolifération et une différenciation des cellules.
