SHAPED CHARGE WELL PERFORATING APPARATUS Abstract of the Disclosure The specification disclosed a method and apparatus for forming a recess in an internal surface of a hollow body, such as the body of a carrier for shaped charge well perforating apparatus used in oil wells and the like. The method involves the steps of placing a rotat- ing mill apparatus within the hollow body, moving the mill into contact with the internal surface of the body to form a recess, retracting the mill from contact with the internal surface, and withdrawing the mill from the body. In this way a recess, or area of weakness, can be formed in the wall of the body in a quick, accurate and efficient manner, even when the body is of narrow internal dimension.
