PHN 8958 21-3-1978 ABSTRACT: The invention relates to a shaving apparatus having a shear plate with hair-entrance apertures and a cutting member which is rotatable relative to the shear plate, which cutting member is substantially constituted by a central body which provided with cutters at the circumference. Especially at increasing numbers of cutters per cutting member and when the number of hair-entrance aper- tures is a multiplicity of the number of cutters, there is a risk that during use of the apparatus several hairs are cut simultaneously, which presents an undesired peak load to the drive mechanism of the apparatus. In order to reduce this risk, it is proposed to arrange the cutters in groups with equal intervals between the cutters of one group, which intervals differ from the intervals between two adjacent cutters of different groups.
