PHN 9459 ABSTRACT: The invention relates to a shaving apparatus having a shear plate with hair entry apertures and a cut- ting unit which is rotatable relative to the shear plate. The cutting unit comprises a cutting member which is sub- stantially constituted by a central body which is pro- vided with cutters and with hair-pulling elements which are movable relative to the cutters. The hair-pulling elements are provided with connecting arms whose ends are secured to the central body of the cutting member. In such apparatus the problem occurs that hair cuttings are trapped between the connecting arms and the central body, thus seriously obstructing the cutting unit. In order to eliminate this drawback a cover plate is employed, the ends of the connecting arms being situated between the central body of the cutting member and said cover plate.
