7.11.79 1 PHD.78.161 ABSTRACT "Shaving apparatus having a shear plate with hair-entry apertures and a cutting unit with lead cutters, which unit is drivable relative to the shear plate" The invention relates to a shaving apparatus having a shear plate with hair-entry apertures and a cutting member which is drivable relative to the shear plate. The cutting member is provided with cutters having lead cutters which are movable along guide faces of the cutter. In order to increase the lifting height of the hair to be cut, the lead-cutter edge which penetrates into the hair is provided with a projection, which limits the penetration depth of the lead cutter into the hair. In addition, the guide face of the cutter has a parabolic shape in order to increase the angle of incli- nation.
