-11- Shear Seal Assembly Abstract A shear seal assembly for sealing between two members having limited relative motion therebetween has an inner sleeve, an outer sleeve, and an elastomeric member connecting the sleeves. The inner sleeve is in a press fit relationship with one of the members and the outer sleeve is in a press fit relationship with the other of the members. Thrust members extending radially outwardly along the sides of the seal assembly control distortion thereof and prevent damage thereto. A protective member prevents the ingress of external contaminants and abrasives into the area to be sealed.
