A packing case for packaging a kit of prefabricated components for erecting a rectangular shed to be mounted on a support base. The case comprises a box like structure having rectangular platforms as top and bottom members, each of the platforms having an area equal to at least one half of the area required for a support base for the shed. The platforms are adapted to be combined together after dismantling of the case to form the shed base.
