- 24 - Sheet-fed rotary printing press with a plurality of printing units for recto printing and recto-and-verso printing ABSTRACT The described sheet-fed rotary printing press is equipped with a combined device for the joint resetting of the printing units and of the gripper changeover when the press is being switched over from recto printing to recto-and-verso printing. This combined device may be designed with electrical or mechanical elements. Preferred is a mechanical design in which a speed-transforming transmission is provided, the parts of which are mounted either on the fixed gearwheel (6) or on the adjustable gearwheel (10) and convert the relative movement of both gearwheels (6, 10) in relation to one another within a predetermined angular range into a rotary movement and transmit said rotary movement to a switching shaft (21) or other elements for the changeover of the gripper control or otherwise convert said rotary movement into an actuator travel to initiate the changeover of the gripper control (Fig. 1).
