In order to optimize the properties of sheet-metal components, in particular, motor vehicle body parts with a load-bearing or load-absorbing function and simplify the production process it is suggested that the sheet-metal components have a bearing part and a functional part, wherein the bearing part comprises a recess for receiving an assembly section of the functional part designed to be complementary thereto, wherein the walls of the recess and the assembly section facing one another in the assembled state of the sheet-metal component are arranged essentially at right angles to the surface of the bearing part surrounding the recess, wherein the dimensions of the recess and the assembly section are dimensioned such that the functional part can be pressed into the recess of the bearing part with its assembly section undetachably and without any seam gap, and wherein the functional part is welded to the bearing part by a laser or electron beam in the region of their facing walls of assembly section and recess.

Afin d'optimiser les propriétés d'éléments en tôle, notamment d'éléments de carrosserie d'automobiles, quant à leur fonction à supporter et à encaisser des charges, et de simplifier leur production, il est prévu que lesdits éléments en tôle comprennent une section porteuse et une section fonctionnelle. La section porteuse comprend une cavité destinée à recevoir une section de montage de la partie fonctionnelle, se présentant de manière complémentaire. Lorsque l'élément en tôle est assemblé, la paroi opposée de la cavité et de la section de montage se trouve sensiblement perpendiculaire à la surface de la section porteuse, qui entoure la cavité. Les dimensions de la cavité et de la section de montage sont choisies de manière à ce que la partie fonctionnelle et sa section de montage puissent être emmanchées dans la cavité de la section porteuse, de façon permanente et sans fente de jointement, et que la partie fonctionnelle et la section porteuse soient soudées au laser ou par bombardement électronique, dans la zone de leurs parois opposées de la section de montage et de la cavité.
