An apparatus for use in transporting a sheet stack comprises a wedge-shaped sheet stack holder with a cantilever arm (40) extending from the back of the wedge. A suspending tether (102) is joined to the cantilever arm (40). A primary tendon (70) extends between the suspending tether (102) and a lever joined to the stack holder. A secondary tendon (80) extends between the suspending tether (102) and the cantilever arm (40), passing over a clamp (90) on the arm. When the lever (60) is retracted, the stack support (20) is suspended by the suspending tether (102) and the primary tendon (70). When the lever (60) is extended, the stack (110) is supported by the suspending tether (102) and the secondary tendon (80), thereby driving the clamp (90) closed. The surface of the stack support arm comprises a dimpled air table.

L'invention concerne un appareil permettant de transporter une pile de feuilles comprenant un dispositif cunéiforme de maintien de la pile de feuilles pourvu d'un bras en porte-à-faux (40) s'étendant depuis l'arrière du dispositif de maintien.
