ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to a sheet of flexible plastic material capable of being manually altered to selected width. A plurality of parallel, laterally spaced longitudinal slits, penetrating one-twelfth to one-half the thickness of the material, are formed parallel to one edge of the sheet, defining a plurality of marginal side segments, which may be manually removed, leaving a generally straight and even edge, thereby producing a usable sheet of reduced width. The slits are cut to a width not exceeding 1/1000th inch (0.025 mm) without substantial permanent deformation of the sheet material so as to be substantially invisible to the naked eye at reasonable viewing distance, whereby the sheet has an acceptable appearance.
