ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE According to the present invention, there is pro- vided a shelf having an upper substantially horizontal sur- face and a depending inclined support or brace integral with the upper surface and forming an acute angle therewith. The upper surface is provided with means such as pins, or alter- nately, a resilient material with a high co-efficient of fric- tion, which means are adapted to be releasably engageable with a primary supporting surface. The inclined support is of such a length so as to engage with a secondary vertical surface beneath the primary supporting surface thus mounting the upper surface of the shelf in an operable, horizontal po- sition. In a further embodiment of the invention, the shelf includes an additional member having a first surface which constitutes the primary supporting surface, and a second sur- face provided with means such as an adhesive material which means facilitates releasable attachment to the secondary, ver- tical supporting surface.
