A method for the cultchless cultivation of mollusks comprises placing the mollusks in an elon- gate bag (10) of mesh material, which is preferably about 100 feet long. The bag (10) has a longitu- dinal slit (16) therein for providing access to the bag (10). The bag (10) is suspended under tension in an underwater off-bottom location whereby the slit (16) is maintained in a closed position by the tension. The invention also includes apparatus for raising the bag (10) into an elevated position above the water for husbandry and harvesting purposes. In one embodiment, the apparatus comprises a raft (42) provided with a pair of spiked rollers (44, 46) thereon for moving the bag (10) along the top of the raft (42).
Procédé de culture de mollusques sans collecteur de naissain, consistant à placer les mollusques dans un sac oblong (10) en matériau à mailles dont la longueur est de préférence d'environ 100 pieds. Le sac (10) comporte une fente (16) longitudinale donnant accès à l'intérieur du sac. Le sac (10) est suspendu tendu dans une fosse subaquatique, la tension maintenant la fente (16) fermée. L'invention concerne également un appareil de relevage du sac (10) l'amenant au-dessus de la surface de l'eau pour les opérations de culture ou de récolte. Dans l'une des réalisations, l'appareil comporte un radeau (42) muni de rouleaux à pointes (44, 46) permettant de déplacer le sac (10) sur la longueur du dessus du radeau (42).
