An improved shelter assembly comprises a skeleton frame structure of tubular vertical and horizontal members, a covering complementary in shape to the frame structure, a series of horizontally spaced weights supports extending along the lower portion of each side wall area of the covering, and horizontally extending weights extending through loops forming part of the supports. The weights consist of one or more elongated tubes containing ballast material therein to anchor the shelter assembly to the ground. The weight supports may be fixedly attached to the lower portion of each side wall area of the covering or may be elongated straps extending from one side wall area to an opposite side wall area.
