ABSTRACT The present invention discloses a shelving system. The shelving system comprises a base adapted to be secured to a vertical surface such as a wall, a gripper arm extending outwardly from the base and a support ledge extending outwardly from the base below the gripper arm a greater distance than the gripper arm. A shelf fits between the gripper arm and support ledge and is clamped therebetween. Increased cantilever loading on the shelf causes increased clamping action on the shelf.
