The present invention provides a non-braided shielded drop cable that can be easily attached to a standard connector. The cable comprises a cable core including a center conductor and a dielectric layer surrounding the center conductor, a first electrically conductive shield surrounding the cable core and bonded thereto, a second electrically conductive shield surrounding the first shield, and a cable jacket surrounding the second shield and bonded thereto. An interstitial layer is located between the first and second shields and is composed of axially displaceable elongate strands and is typically composed of helically served yarns or metal wires. The present invention also includes a method of making a shielded cable.
La présente invention concerne un câble de dérivation armé, non tressé, qui se branche facilement sur une prise standard. Ce câble comprend une âme composée d'un conducteur central lui-même enrobé dans une couche diélectrique, un premier blindage électriquement conducteur disposé autour de l'âme et collée à celle-ci, un second blindage électriquement conducteur disposé autour du premier blindage, et une gaine entourant le second blindage et collé à celui-ci. Une couche interstitielle disposée entre les premier et second blindages est composée de brins allongés déplaçables axialement, faits généralement de fils, notamment métalliques, qui sont enroulés en spirale. La présente invention concerne également un procédé de fabrication pour câbles armés.
