ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A shielding article assembled by piling a plurality of multilayer sheets and fastening the sheets at one or both end portions, the multilayer sheet comprising an aluminium layer and a lead layer, wherein the thickness of the aluminium layer, the lead layer and the multilayer sheet are 10 to 100 µm, twice the aluminium layer and 50 to 400 µm, respectively. The shielding article is useful for shielding radioactive rays or sound and has excellent mechanical properties and heat resistance.
