ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The object of the invention is a shielding cover containing a tackle line, the end of which is secured with a claw inside the shielding cover. The claw is designed to grasp baskets with radioactive materials like waste which are to be stored in a container arranged beneath the shielding cover and is closable with a lid. The lid is used at the same time as the closure for the shielding cover. The shielding cover contains a laterally projecting housing section. In this section the lid is arranged to move between two end positions transversely to the longitudinal axis of the shielding cover. In one end position the lid reveals a lower aperture in the shielding cover. In the other end position the lid closes off the shielding cover. A fluid acceptance tank is also arranged to move between two end positions in the housing section beneath the lid. While the fluid acceptance tank reveals the aperture in one end position, it covers it in the other.
