ABSTRACT The invention relates to an apparatus for shielding from earth rays. The invention is characterized by a bar-shaped body (1) of iron and by at least two coil-like windings of copper wire on said body, the individual turns of the one winding extending between the two ends of the bar-shaped body in the longitudinal direction of said body and the individual turns of the other winding extending in the circumferential direction of the bar-shaped body so that the two windings of copper wire form a coil cage.
