A shielding panel (50) for shielding circuit card slots on a computer chassis, and particularly a shielding panel for use with printed circuit board brackets and/or blank brackets to shield circuit card slots provides an arrangement for reducing the leakage of electromagnetic waves and/or radio frequency waves through a computer chassis by providing protrusions (56) around circuit card slots (54) in the slot frame. The design of the present shielding panel includes a tab (58) which wraps around an edge of the circuit card slot to help place and hold the shielding panel in position while substantially eliminating the potential interference bet ween neighboring panels and/or panels and neighboring slots and inhibits the formation of a gap between the shielding panel and the computer chassis slot frame, therefore, substantially eliminating the chance of a bracket tip catching in such a gap. The present shielding panel also provides protrusions (56) which are bent such that they extend above the surface (52) of the shielding panel but the ends of which extend below the surface of the shielding panel or at least close enough to the surface of the shielding panel to thereby substantially eliminate the chance of a bracket snagging on the protrusions.
L'invention se rapporte à un panneau de blindage (50) destiné au blindage de fentes pour cartes à circuits sur un châssis d'ordinateur, et en particulier à un panneau de blindage que l'on utilise avec des supports de plaquettes de circuits imprimés et/ou des supports sans plaquette afin de blinder des fentes pour cartes à circuits. Ce panneau comprend un agencement permettant de réduire les fuites d'ondes électromagnétiques et/ou d'ondes haute fréquence à travers un châssis d'ordinateur par l'intermédiaire d'éléments en saillie (56) ménagés autour des fentes à cartes (54) dans la structure à fentes. Ce panneau est conçu de façon à comprendre une languette (58) qui se recourbe autour d'un bord de la fente à carte pour faciliter le positionnement et la retenue du panneau tout en évitant essentiellement toute obstruction potentielle entre panneaux avoisinants et/ou les panneaux et les fentes adjacents et empêchant également qu'un espace ne soit formé entre le panneau de blindage et la structure à fentes du châssis, ce qui permet d'éliminer sensiblement toute possibilité qu'une extrémité du support soit coincée dans ledit espace. Le panneau de blindage selon l'invention comporte également des éléments en saillie (56) qui sont recourbés de sorte qu'ils s'étendent jusqu'au-dessus de la surface (52) du panneau de blindage, leurs extrémités s'étendant toutefois au-dessous de ladite surface, ou tout au moins se trouvant en un point suffisamment proche de cette surface pour éliminer pratiquement toute possibilité qu'un support ne s'accroche aux éléments en saillie.
