A method for determining a shift point strategy in a hybrid vehicle includes defining an input shaft speed for best acceleration, defining an input shaft speed for best fuel economy, determining driver intent compared to the best acceleration and the best fuel economy, and setting a shift point of the hybrid vehicle transmission based, at least in part, on the driver intent.

Cette invention concerne une méthode de détermination des points de passage des vitesses dans un véhicule hybride, consistant à utiliser au moins deux sources d'énergie, à coupler sélectivement ces sources d'énergie à la boîte de vitesse dudit véhicule, à définir une vitesse d'arbre d'entrée procurant les meilleures accélérations, à définir une vitesse d'arbre de sortie procurant le meilleur rendement énergétique, à déterminer le souhait du conducteur quant à ces deux alternatives, et à fixer un point de passage de la boîte de vitesse pour véhicule hybride au moins en partie en fonction du souhait du conducteur.
