SHINGLE SURFACE PROJECTIONS TO INHIBIT MINERALIZED DEPOSITION Abstract of the Disclosure A roofing shingle is shaped to inhibit moisture accumulation and the formation of mineralized deposits that may result when roofing shingles are laid in courses. The shingles are laid in accordance with a method that inhibits the mineralized deposition that may mar the surfaces of cementitious shingles. Mineralized deposits are inhibited by spacing apart major surfaces of adjacent shingles that would otherwise contact when they are laid as intended in courses.
