The device comprises a plurality of deflector members (1) having a submerged lower face (2), called first face, generally fitting into the extension of the hull bottom (FC) of the ship, toward the rear thereof, while forming an angle (.alpha.) in relation to a general plane (.DELTA.) tangent to this bottom (FC), characterized by the fact that these deflector members (1) are articulated to the hull and are juxtaposed side by side, over all, or practically all, the width of the stem, control means (4) making it possible to cause it to pivot in one direction or the other in order to vary said angle (.alpha.), these means being housed in part in a protective case.
Le dispositif comprend une pluralité déléments déflecteurs (1) ayant une face inférieure submergée (2), appelée première face, sadaptant généralement dans lextension du fond de cale (FC) du bateau, vers larrière de celui-ci, tout en formant un angle (a) relativement à un plan général (?) tangent à ce fond (FC). Linvention est caractérisée par le fait que ces éléments déflecteurs (1) sont articulés à la coque et sont juxtaposés côte à côte, sur la totalité, ou pratiquement la totalité, de la largeur de la poupe, des moyens de commande (4) permettant de les faire pivoter dans une direction ou dans lautre, afin de faire varier ledit angle (a), ces moyens étant partiellement abrités dans un boîtier protecteur.
