ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An improved shipping carton is provided in which cups or similar containers being shipped therein impart stacking strength to the carton. The carton has a rectangular shaped bottom wall, side and end walls connected thereto, top panels connected to the end walls, and flaps connected to the side walls and top panels. Selected ones of the panels, walls, and flaps are adhesively secured together when the carton is erected. The side wall flaps extend from the ends of the side walls only, so as not to interfere with the machine packing rows of containers in the carton adjacent and parallel to the sides of the side walls. The top panels are flush with each other after the carton is erected, whereby no overlap of them occurs to interfere with stacking of the cartons.
