ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Shock mount for protective structure for tractors, including an upstanding post affixed to the tractor to pro- tect the operator in the event that the tractor rolls over or in the event something falls on the tractor. A post mounting member is affixed with the tractor chassis, and an assembly of a pair of elastomer inserts, a bushing and a bolt interconnect the post and the chassis. The inserts have a tapered interior opening, and the bushing is received within the opening to urge the insert outwardly into snug fit with the mounting member.
