ABSTRACT A shoe sole and heel construction in which the heel consists of metal pins (12) fixed to the sole (10), (11) by means of a socket (15) provided with a cavity (14) in which the enlarged head (13) of each pin is locked by means of a screw (20). A deformable pad (23) may be located between the screw and the pin head, or the head may be locked in the cavity by means of a hardenable material.
