In a shoe lining including two to three layers of fleece which are spot-welded together, at least the layer adjacent the foot includes synthetic fibres and is connected, on the side remote from the foot, with a layer including at least 30 to 70% per weight of cellulose fibres. Such a shoe-lining is highly wear resistant and feels dry even after the shoe has been worn for an extended period.
