SHOE MACHINE AIR BLAST MECHANISM AND AIR BLAST SAFETY ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A machine for lasting shoes in which the margin of a shoe upper is secured to the bottom of an insole by application of regulatably pressurizable molten cement along the margin of the forepart of an insole bottom utilizing a U-shaped upwardly directed nozzle. The nozzle includes a reservoir therein permitting the building up of a supply of pressurizable molten cement. An orifice is provided on the nozzle for collecting and discharging upwardly the molten cement on an insole. A throat is provided, of diminished diameter, whereby fluid communica- tion is established between the reservoir and the orifice. The throat provides sufficient velocity to the pressuriz- able molten cement to enable it to be ejected to an insole.
