A deactivation device (10) for use in an EAS system and comprising a detection transmit means (19, 22, 20b, 6) operable to transmit a detection field into a detection/deactivation area (26), a detecting means (5) operable to sense a signal from an EAS tag (9) responsive to the detection field, and a deactivating means (19, 21, 20c, 6) for transmitting a deactivating field into the detection/deactivation area (26) operable to deactivate said active EAS tag (9), and wherein said detection transmit means and said deactivating means use a common coil (6) to transmit the respective fields.
L'invention concerne un dispositif de désactivation (10) destiné à être utilisé dans un système de surveillance électronique d'articles. Ce dispositif comprend des moyens d'émission (19, 22, 20b, 6) qui émettent un champ de détection vers une zone de détection/désactivation (26), un moyen de détection (5) qui détecte un signal émis depuis une étiquette de surveillance électronique d'article (9) répondant audit champ de détection, et des moyens de désactivation (19, 21, 20c, 6) pour émettre un champ de désactivation vers ladite zone de détection/désactivation (26).
