SHOPPING CART HAVING LOWER PIVOTED SUPPORT RACK Abstract of the Disclosure A shopping cart formed of metal wires welded together and defining a basket support frame supported on castors thereby to support a container basket. A handlebar is secured to the frame for displacing the cart on a floor surface. The container basket has a bottom wall, a rear hinged gate wall, a front wall, opposed side walls and an open top end. A lower pivoted support rack is secured across a lower support frame. The pivoted rack has a pivoted front end and a rear end. The rear end por- tion of the rack is supported elevated from the lower sup- port frame to prevent contact therewith when not supporting a load whereby during displacement of the cart there is no noise generating contact therewith.
