A bilge blower for a watercraft such as a power boat. The bilge blower includes a blower unit and a power unit. The blower unit can be removeably attached to a bilge drain on the watercraft. The power unit supplies power to the blower unit. When the blower unit is attached and power is supplied, the bilge blower draws air and vapor from the watercraft's bilge through the bilge drain. The blower unit preferably includes a fan with a brushless motor. A brushless motor is used to reduce the likelihood of sparks which could ignite any fuel vapor. In the preferred embodiment, the blower unit includes a housing that attaches to the bilge drain with a threaded connector.
La présente invention a trait à un ventilateur de cale pour un véhicule marin tel qu'un bateau à moteur. Le ventilateur de cale comporte une unité de ventilation et une unité d'alimentation. L'unité de ventilation peut être montée de manière amovible à un drain de ventilateur de cale sur le véhicule marin. L'unité d'alimentation fournit de l'énergie à l'unité de ventilation. Lors du montage de l'unité de ventilation et la fourniture d'énergie, le ventilateur de cale aspire de l'air et de la vapeur à partir du ventilateur du véhicule marin à travers le drain de ventilateur de cale. De préférence l'unité de ventilation comporte un ventilateur avec moteur sans balais. On utilise un moteur sans balais pour réduire la probabilité d'étincelles qui pourraient mettre le feu à la vapeur de carburant. Dans le mode de réalisation préféré, l'unité de ventilation comprend un boîtier qui est monté au drain de ventilateur de cale avec un connecteur fileté.
