ABSTRACT A shoring assembly for supporting a wall is disclosed. In the assembly, a waler is applied against the wall, a vertical frame support member is provided, and a load cell is installed between and connecting the waler and the frame support member. The load cell includes a spring arranged to bias the waler against the wall and the frame support member away from the wall such that a force is applied which will be slightly greater than the anticipated load on the wall.
