An aqueous short term residual dust suppressant is disclosed. The suppressant comprises from about 50 parts by weight to about 2,000 parts by weight water per part by weight of a combination of an anionic foamer and a nonionic or anionic wetter in a foamer to wetter weight ratio of from about 1:1 to about 1:20. Pre-mix concentrates and methods for dust suppression with such suppressants one also disclosed.
