Abstract Of The Disclosure An improved shot tip for a metal injecting shot sleeve wherein the tip comprises a beryllium-copper alloy head having a domed front face and an interior cooling chamber. A baffle is located on the end of a coolant exhaust tube inside of the coolant chamber. Coolant water enters the shot tip head by flowing around the outside of the tube and exits the shot tip head through the tube itself, the aluminum baffle and a flow directing deflector.
