SHOULDER PAD ASSEMBLY ABSTRACT A shoulder pad assembly employed in a garment to provide a desired shape or contour of the garment in the shoulder region, includes a protective member having an inner protective face and an opposed non-snagging outer face; the protective face has a plurality of loops or hook-receiving elements adapted to completely cover and releasably engage outwardly directed hook members of a fastening strip on the shoulder pad which is employed to mount the shoulder pad to the garment; in this way, snagging of the hook members with other garments can be avoided when the shoulder pads are stored in a clothes drawer.
